Okay people, I think I have something. Remember in the Interview with Eoin Colfer, when he said a past villain would come back? Remember when he said there would be a new group of bad guys called the Extinctionists or Supremecist? Well, since Opal Koboi has already came back, Cudgeon is dead, and Artemis Fowl is pretty decent now, sooo... Jon Spiro could be the villain coming back this time and Jon Spiro might be one of the Extinctionists. Anyone with me on that one? PhoenixRSA, don't say anything.

I'm sorry, but I don't really agree with you. And that's not just for the reason that I'd hate it if he did come back. He was good for one book. (well, I thought that was too much already). Please, don't make him come back for a second one. But also, he learned not to mess with Artemis anymore. (didn't he have some sort of mindwipe anyway?) So if the mindwipe did happen, which I think is very, very likely, he won't remember it anyway.

Indeed. He did learn not to mess with Artemis. But I'm not saying he came back. I'm saying that we will see him in the past as one of the extinctionists.

Please, don't make him come back for a second one.

Okay, he wasn't all that interesting. I'm sure with a bit more development, he could be a better character, but I never liked him all that much.

Nothing new there. We already figured Artemis would have to fight PA. But it's nice to have it confirmed.

well, maybe it means that when he said and old foe would come back it meant, not someone artemis fought physically, but internally; himself. maybe the returning villain is the OLD artemis.

Artemis is the villain he'll have to fight.
Since, you know, he's going to fight himself.
Do you guys think that Eoin will bring another villain back? I think that he used that idea up with Opal. Unless Artemis had a specific Arch Nemesis, but he doesn't. Ark Sool is the only one that I can think of that would come back as a villain.

Just a guess. I like Opal, she's an interesting character.

Wait a minute...I don't know if someone already mentioned this, but is Minerva gonna be in the next book?
Because I don't think Mr. Colfer mentioned her, and so far I haven't seen anything that says she's going to come back.
I guess it's reasonable that she would be in the Time Paradox, because she waited for Artemis to return for all those years, right?
Is she going to be a very minor character in the next book, or what?

I don't think Minnie will play a very large part in the book. She will play a part, that's almost certain - Colfer didn't put her in TLC for nothing.
