The proposal might actually go through!!! Holy cannoli and mighty Shiva. I guess that's the Nancy difference. Or the Frau Blücher difference that is.

Re: The Twisted Vent Here Thread!
I love coming back here because there's always such a positive energy about this site.
Is it my happy memories of staying up all night chatting on school nights? Is it the people here? Is it because it all comes from the base of one of my favorite book series?
I can't tell you. But I always enjoy being here, even if everyone else is offline and it's just me looking fondly at the front page, recalling all the good times we've had together.

Re: The Twisted Vent Here Thread!
so, the results from my history re-exam are in. I passed. I got a 7, not really sure how the grades translate. Technically it's a C, but as there are more levels on the Danish scale, it doesn't really translate well. It's more like a C+ or a B-.
But I'm very pleased, especially since I failed the last one. I almost cried when I saw my grade.
And my friend who had also failed the original exam also got a 7. I'm very proud of her, she worked much harder than me and deserves a much better grade.
--
Speaking of friends, my best friend applied for an art school in the region she lives in. She was very anxious about her application - the concepts for an app about health in elementary school - but she did so well and I'm so very proud of her. I love her so much. I really hope she gets accepted, because her product is so cool. I hope the people who look at applications agree with me.

Re: The Twisted Vent Here Thread!
I pitched an idea that got shut down rudely by the person in charge.
But since then people have been approaching me and praising me for:
1. Having an actually great idea
2. For stepping outside of my department to plan my idea
3. For pitching it on my own
So even though what I planned isn't gonna happen, I feel valued by the other people and feel like it's been confirmed that I'm doing good things.

I got accepted into my minor of choice. Will be taking one year of classes in video game development! I'm very excited even though there has literally been no other info yet.

^ Well done that is great!
I got accepted for my dream job today! I get to stay at the place that has trained me and I get to be a fully-fledged member of staff. Everyone is so happy for me, my bosses have already messaged me to say how much I deserve it and how happy they all are for me. My parents and my Nana have all told me how proud they are. This is such a big life moment and this is what I've wanted to do since I was little. I can't believe it

The fitness trail is back open!!!!!!! I may not go there everyday, but it's nice to have it as a supplement, and as an extension of a routine. I don't have much, but I have my routines.

Re: The Twisted Vent Here Thread!
It feels so good to be back to exercising again. My legs ached so bad last night but I know that means good stuff. And I slept for so so long which means that I definitely properly wore myself out! I am gonna take today as a rest day to help my muscles recover, and then I think I'll get back on it tomorrow and try to hit that 20Km.

Re: The Twisted Vent Here Thread!
I was at an oral exam in a class called Apocalypse Now. In this exam you are judged for two classes (technically) - the literature class, Apocalypse Now, and a spoken "class", where the focus is on your skill with the English language.
The teacher for AN is a young man, who is super fun and a great teacher, and it was a really good exam experience, as he was super helpful with asking open questions.
The censor for the spoken language "class" was the head of the English Studies department. This sounds really intimidating but he's a kind old man, who looks like he could be my grandpa.
Anyway, I got a 10 (second highest grade) in Apocalypse Now, and the literal head of the English Studies department gave me a 12 for my spoken language (that's the highest grade possible)!!

Re: The Twisted Vent Here Thread!
^ Yay that's awesome
My dad said "love you to bits" before we hung up on the phone today, and sent me a text that said "sending lots of cuddles". He's never said that before. But I've noticed for years that as we both get older he's got more openly affectionate and cuddly. It makes me really happy to hear it, and I love making sure that he knows that I love him too.
