My More Recent Art

Post by HollyShort9 » Wed 17th Oct 2012

I've kind of gotten back into art. Anything I do in the next few months (may eventually start a new topic after two or so years, that's understandable isn't it? XD) goes here. :awesome:
First try at an acrylic landscape. Which is my like, third acrylic painting ever, maybe fourth. And my first time using black.

Whole thing

So I've actually been taking some art lessons.
And have benefited greatly.

Wow, I just in awe of your new painting. The way you transitioned the backround trees into clear land is very nice. Well done!

Wow! That is AMAZING! :D It's so pretty... (Sorry I'm not being that constructive, but it is PRETTY!)

This user will debate you about how important Jean Valjean is (acceptable answer: very), and the distinction between 'antagonist' and 'villain' and how the terms apply to Javert and the Thenardiers.

Awww, thank you, you two! <3
I have a few more landscapes.
These were all from art lessons:

The lighting on this one is kind of weird because it was already in a frame when I took the picture, so the light reflected off the glass a bit.

THIS was an original that I made all by myself. Mixed the paints by myself, came up with the concept by myself. I used the same technique to paint the forest, but the forest itself was entirely from my head.

They're very pretty :) I like the kite in the last one. It makes it a bit mysterious, leaving you with a sense of wonder.
