A tangentially-related anecdote:
When I was little, my family would sometimes eat at a local buffet that had a soft-serve ice cream machine. My sister named the ice cream machine "Bob", and whenever she wanted to eat at the buffet, she'd tell our parents that she wanted to "go see Bob".
For the past few months I've been working on a project with my family to digitize our large collection of VHS and Hi8 cassettes from the 1990s and early 2000s.
A few days ago I came across one tape from shortly after the buffet closed. The owners had pulled all the furniture and equipment out of the building and put it in the parking lot to load it into trucks. My mother, my sister and I all went to the parking lot to look at the equipment and to see the inside of the building while it was empty. One shot from the tape shows my sister standing next to Bob, hugging him tightly and saying she was going to miss him.
Anything that doesn't fit in any of the other boards.
