Daniel Radcliffe as Arty! (Maybe?)

Which actors would you like to cast? What do you want to see? What would you do if you were the director?

Daniel Radcliffe as Arty! (Maybe?)

Post by HollyShort9 » Mon 10th Nov 2008

ZOMG, I just realized that Daniel might be good for the part... If he covered up his British accent and made it American (or Irish, or w/e would suit Arty) like Robert Pattinson is going to for Edward Cullen (squee), he might be a good Arty... After all, if he plays Harry Potter in the movies, we all know he can act! (Kill me if you wish. XD )

Here are a few pictures:

And to Meo if you're reading this: You'll love this. Daniel's full name is Daniel JACOB Radcliffe. (JACOB.)

No no no no no no no no.....
Leave him be Harry!
Harry and Artemis are not really alike. And I just don't see Daniel as Artemis.Make-up and professionals can do a lot but still not good enough for Arty.

Much as I love Daniel Radcliffe (and I do, a lot) I can't really seem him acting a 12 year old any more.

Voice acting? Sure

Live acting? Not so much.

No. Um, No. Um, No.

Um...

No.

Daniel Radcliffe is an actor I don't like, even as Harry Potter. His acting style makes Harry come off as effeminate and girly, and he always makes it look like Harry is trying to get pity, which is really out of character.

Plus, he's like 7 or 8 years too old for the part. Also, he's too typecast from Harry Potter. Poor kid's never going to act again after Harry Potter is over.

I do like the name, HS9, but I can't see him play Artemis. I know him too well from HP to see him play any other part, plus he just looks just wrong for it.

No, because Harry isn't at all Gary-Stu-ish, acting valiant and noble but in reality missing the patently obvious until he's slapped in the face with it. [/sarcasm] Sorry. But I actually think Radcliffe does Harry quite well, makes it all very natural.

Also:

he's too typecast from Harry Potter. Poor kid's never going to act again after Harry Potter is over.

He's already acting after Harry Potter: he was in December Boys, My Boy Jack and the West End hit play Equus which is now over in Broadway.

Not that he really needs to act after Harry Potter, what with all the cash he's made doing it.

Dude.

Daniel is getting FIFTY MILLION BUCKS for the 7th movie ALONE.

Who knows how much cash the rest of the movies have gotten him?

He is a little old for the part. That would be weird, going from a semi-average wizard person, to evil genius...

The reasons aliens haven't made contact with us because if a species were to become space-faring, they would have no doubt realized that bickering and warring is primitive. They realize that any interaction with humans would be met with hostility on our parts. Only when we can put aside our differences and tear down our borders will be find what we are looking for.

No, he's 18. He'd be 20 when the 7th movie would be in cinemas, but since they're splitting that, he'll be about 21, 22, I guess.

Sorry, but no. Daniel is one of my fave actors, but he is not right for Artemis. He is too old. 6 years too old.

I didn't know Daniel Radcliffe acted.

(For those of you who don't "see what I did there," the joke was that I wouldn't call what he does in Harry Potter "Acting," so even though I know he's been in Harry Potter, I don't think he's a good enough actor to be considered an actor.)

NEVER EVER. I mean, are you serious? Too old. And Daniel Radcliffe just looks not right as Artemis. Holy <insert your choice of swearword> ! Ahh well. I just hope the movie is coming out quickly... I can't stand one of my Twilight-loving/Artemis Fowl-hating friend's jibes about "Oh, if AF is so good, why isn't there a movie?" I shut her up by saying: 1. A dark-blue-eyed raven-haired guy is hard to find 2.There is a AF graphic novel and 3. Well, yeah.
Fingers crossed for an AF movie.... WHEN I AM STILLL ALIVE!
ps, hey, how about Skandar Keynes play him? (SK played Edmund in LWW and Prince Caspian) just a suggestion.
Yep, mangamaniac148 is BACK, whether you like it or not.
:) Me like, Reborn!, Bleach, Death Note. :)
Can't wait till the release of Artemis Fowl and the Atlantic Complex. :)
