... Impossible. For me anyway ^^^'

Well, except the fact I don't like how she plays (but I admit I've seen her movies in French with insipid dublings, it don't help), her face's alway neutral, emotionless =/
I absolutely can't picture her as Holly, really I think she don't have... la gueule de l'emploi as we say in French.

To me, the perfect actress to play Holly would be Christina Ricci, but the skin color's problem still there =/

Yeah, Christina Ricci is Wednesday Addams ^^^ she also played in Casper, Sleepy Hollow, The Man Who Cried, Prozac Nation, Monster, Black Snake Moan... and I love her x) To my opinion she would be perfect, but yeah, I can't really have an objective opinion about her, she's one of my favorite actresses ^^^'



But the problem here would be her too pale skin =/ I would well suggest Halle Berry if didn't hate her so much

Whoever she is, she'd have to be darker skinned. Holly is described as having 'almond skin'.
I can't really find anyone that works for Holly. There is one fancast that is popular on Tumblr, but her name escapes me. She looks like Holly, she'd just have to dye her hair.
I prefer someone between 16-21 though, especially considering the 'kiss', and I've always thought of Holly as younger.

I recently saw Foxfire Confession of a girl gang by Laurent Cantet. In the beginning I simply enjoyed the movie ; but then Legs, Raven Adamson's character, had her hair cut, and I immediately thought : "Oh my god, it's Holly !!!" O.O

More I think about it and more I'm getting sure that Raven Adamson would be perfect. She has brown hair, quite-dark skin and, most of all, she acts wonderfully well *O*

I wouldn't say that's quite dark skin (maybe for a white person yeah) but like like P5 said on tumblr "When it comes time to cast the movie, there’s pretty much no excuse for casting white actors in those roles" (also referring to the Butlers who are biracial)

I don't know that it's especially likely that we'll actually get an actress of color though, since Eoin himself has said his dreamcast would be Saoirse Ronan :l

can we PLEASE take a moment here to stop whitewashing?? holly is clearly described as having nut brown skin and a hooked nose and none of the actresses that any of you have mentioned have come close to matching that description. i'm really passionate about this issue and i hope they don't do it to holly :/ that would be my worst nightmare.
