What do you want to see in book 7?

What do you think will happen in the next installment of the Fowl series?

not to burst any bodys bubble but "the last one for a few years" sounds like he just wants to keep his AF fans by giving them false hope of a new book so that his AF fans will by his other books.

the last book had a good resolve, I think that even if he did make another book it wouldn't connect well to the other six.

what I can see him doing is making other books that take place in the same world like parelel novels (kind of what orson scott card did with the ENDER and SHADOW novels).

and as for a movie, the last posted web rumors on other sites I'v looked at are at least 2 years old. no other comment needed.

I don't mean to sound like a hater or any thing, I would love it if there was another book or a movie, but is it really plausible?

The books aren't as disconected as all that. Book three told us how Artemis lost his memories. In it, he has decided to give up his nefarious ways, right after one last go around, and learns a valuable lesson; his evil schemes can get people hurt.
In book 4, with his mind wiped and evil nature working on auto pilot, Artemis blissfully goes about daily life lying to his parents and stealing from criminal lawyers. This is the book where we learn Opal is not gone for good, how evil she really is, and how good truffles are. In this book, Artemis get's back his memories, Julias dies, and Holly quits LEP. These are major to the ongoing plot. In book 5, we all get introduced to Minerva, whom we all love or love to hate, what's-his-number, and a whole new fairy race. As if these weren't enough, Artemis travels to limbo through an interdimensional time vortex. The side affects were quite interesting at their worst. There's the time difference, magical Artemis, and the much beloved eye switch. Last, but not least, we are just as suprised as Artemis to learn he is an older brother. Here are some good things about book 6. We see actual guilt and remorse in Artemis. He might have become less evil, but we didn't really see anything resembling real guilt before. In contrast, there is evil Artemis of the past to fight with, personifying the actual struggle within. There is the kiss. We learn what got Artemis interested in fairies, and Artemis' mother gets in on the secret. I do think there will be another book, because book 6 has a very open ending. Where in the world is Opal Sandiego?

Whaddaya mean. He left it off so that since Opal escaped the dreaded rocks of doom and is missing in action it's a cliff hanger. I mean how could you not continue it. There would be so much controversy. It would be like if JK had left Harry Potter off at the sixth.
It would connect i mean, that's what a cliffhanger's for. Or are we just more crazy hyper insane then usual?

That's what I was thinking. I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice, even though that was unlikely.

What ought to happen . . .

Post by iloveholly » Wed 23rd Sep 2009

Holly and Artemis somehow manage to make their relationship work, disregarding the many obstructions - to demonstrate that only the mentally insane would pass up the opportunity for true love, regardless what they may have to sacrifice!

(A good lesson for all concerned, partically for our younger viewers)

My Many Reasons:

1) Artemis is old for his age, and after a few years the age gap will have dissapeared
(more of a problem is her longevity - Artemis would solve this I am sure)

2) Different species - pah, tell em to get stuffed I say!!! Hardly an excuse to miss the 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity of true love is it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

3) They are such opposites, that they make a perfect match.

They can continue to kick *** in this capacity as a couple - Opal Koboi 1 and 2 look out!

You cannot deny that Arty and Hollys love has been brewing under the surface throughout most of the books.

If this does not happen in the book 7, I will send a Retrieval squad to Colfers house to remove his knee caps, and perform a mind wipe, so when he wakes in the morning and tries to get up to get his brekkie, he will be in for a nasty surpise !!!!!!!!

Hehehehehehehehehee!!!

There is already a topic for things you'd like to see in book 7. I'll merge it with that.

If you girls say so. I'm not much of a shipper. I'm not too picky.

Sorry mate, I not a girl -

I am just in touch with my feminine side . . .

You aren't a shipper, because teenage boys aren't very romantic are they - you probably thinking about which character you want to jump in the sack with!

On the upside, with age comes maturity! :D

*laughs* Yeah, that's what we want to see.

That'd be an awesome household, because Foaly and cabaline are already married, but it says that men can take another wife, so why can't the women take another husband? That'd make an awesome crack!fic. I call it. (Holly/Foaly/Cabbaline/Mulch)
