And honestly, young Arty was quite a handful as well.
TTP Especially when he was ten. He just was not nice.
I don't think she's in danger of being an Arty clone, because she's really a lot different than he is. She was trying to help people, Artemis was trying to get himself gold.
She's a good person.

Car is right. She isn't like Artemis at all. Artemis cared about no one but himself. Minerva tried to do good. In the wrong way, but she did anyway. And when No1 showed up, she had serious doubts, because Abbot was more like a beast and No1 was civilized.

She thought everyone was going to die in a demon invasion, and altough money and fame were priorities as well, she would have rather give part of it up to help save everyone, or at least, it seems that way from inference. Think of it this way, she thoughtNo. 1 was an animal intent on destorying everyone as well, and he just had a good facade. Then Artemis comes along and takes No. 1 and ruins her dreams of the Nobel Prize, the money, and has now doomed the world. She was upset about the latter, but because Artemis stole him, she could not be blamed and just going to have faith that she could stop him, and take care of it herself, but if that failed, Artemis could probably take care of it. So she didn't really need to worry about that, just her future, which was involved in saving the world eariler degrade into the doctor/researcher option, not unpromising, by all accounts, but certainly less dramatic and less obviously helpful.

What do I think of her?
A character added in for irony and to show the difference between Good Artemis and Evil Artemis.
I am probably one of the few people that can look at her and go, "whatever."
Eoin decides to hurl her into a volcano?
Whatever.
He decides to include her in AF7?
Okay, cool with me
Eoin tries a little A/M?
BLAM! BLAM!! TIKATIKATIKAITKATIKATIKATIKATIKATIKATIKATIKA!!!!
That was me shooting her.
And for good measure?

I like Minerva and I don't think Artemis will change her personality, I think she will change his. It seems like he is capable of doing a lot of changing since he has been since the first book. Minerva seems more stubborn about what she wants and she's definitely cleverer. I hope they will get together. At least they are the same age now.

I think Minerva is physically a few months or so older...(not that it really matters)

Yeah, but still, when he was older a was a bit weird to imagine them together. It's true that when she aged and Artemis did not that it makes her older in some ways now. The whole time thing always makes my head hurt when I think about it too much.

Just hate her for no reason, and I joined the Minerva-haters club.

I do not hate her, she's kind of spunky..... well not really but she is interesting and a good character. I guess if she was never brought back I would not care though because she has been away too long. That really is a mystery.

(Have we already broken the "die minerva did" streak?)

I suppose I could bear some A/M, more so than H/T. However, that would be the second BIG book series that failed me.....

Well, Minerva to me is BAD BAD BAD!!!

You know I don't understand why I hate her, maybe her personality and mine just don't get along, and maybe she's just not so nice.
What? I am so not psycho.

What was the first????

It would not be that bad if H/T happened. Besides I think we are getting carried away here about Minerva. She has been gone for a whole book. That's a very long time to keep thinking about romance when she hasn't been seen.

Guys, it might be handy if you present arguments, that way you can actually debate about this ;) Not like you're not doing that now, but it'll surely make things easier.
Anyway, I don't hate Minerva, and I don't like her. I'm neutral. If she gets involved with Artemis - fine. I think A/H belong together, but I'm not the writer. Like someone stated a while ago, or in a different topic, there really is not much to hate about Minerva. We don't know her that well. She's been in 1 book, and in that book, she was merely a side-character. We know almost nothing about her. What can we hate?
