(i'm joining)

What i usaully work with in everyday life that has relation to models are plans, maps, diagrams, and that sort of stuff. I also have k'nex, TONS OF THEM, and i make models of stuff i want to build (and just stuff) out of those.

Those are pretty cool models.

I mostly buy them, but I've been trying to make one for awhile... it's an anthro (I have only a half finished head for now-canine) I plan to make it have lots of different parts.

here's what I have so far, yeah one of the eyes is still wonky and it needs the back of it's head... and it's body. But, hey, its a start.

I got some High Elves:

(^The good guys!)

I need some Orcs:

^(The mean guys!)

I shall post my High Elves when I've done them here.

oooo They're really cool! You painted them yourself? I don't have the hand for that (which is why I pay others to paint my doll's faces/do tattoos)

The dolls (know nas ball jointed dolls) are farily pricey, some cheaper ones are about 150 USD and some fancy ones (that come with entire outfits and are limited) can cost over 16500 USD (I'd persoanll never spend taht much) one doll went for over 9000 USD on eBay!
But most cost about 350-600 USD (despending on size and make)

Yeah expensive.....but thety're really great to customize (you can chnage thier wigs and eyes easily.

However theye are smaller ones (mnore like barbies) that are more like 20 USD

SAdly they aren't makign any more, so what they have in stock is it :[

I painted the High Elve (the one on the top), I'll post all of them soon but, no, the Orcs weren't mine, I need to get some.

I was looking at that website you linked me with, and I was confused whether you buy parts and then put the parts together or, do you buy them pre-made sort of thing?

You can buy them on that site assembled, you can root (ad hair) or buy a head with hair (or wigs) and you can paint their faces yourself (or pay someone to do it) They are made from standard plastic (vinyl) , as apposed to the larger ones, that are made from resin.
The assembled/painted ones are pricey but I suggest started with one, and you can get an extra head to practice painting.

There's also Dollfie dream dolls, somewhat special they are larger than the barbie kind but made of vinyl. most are limited but there are two, pre painted ones that comes with eyes, wig, and a slip
http://www.volksusa.com/dollfie-dream-d ... odels.html
They are about 22 inches tall.

this is one of them, she is named Aoi
this one is the mini dollfie dream about 17 inches tall

Thanks, you'll have to get a image storing website like Photobucket, I reccomend you not to use imageshack, it gave my computer a virus 2 times. :/

@Byddie: I shall have a look at the heads and may buy one also, what type of paint do you paint the head with? Or do a company have a chart where you pick the colour you need? Or do you just get your own ideas?
The doll on the top is lovely!

You gotta us acrylic paints, the kind at art stores not from the huge bottles at schools.
You can buy some paints mixed into colors, but it's cheaper to get the basic ones and mix 'em yourself.
