The Performing Arts Club

Post by A Passing Bookworm » Mon 9th Aug 2010

Founded by HS9 and APB

This club is for, as you can probably guess by the title, the Performing Arts. From dancing to public speaking, acting to gymnastics. Any performance art is accepted.

Here; FGers from the Performing Arts community, or maybe FGers who are simply interested in the Performing Arts, can share their personal stories, experiences, give advice, etc. This club is here to help people acheive their dreams, not push those dreams into mud, though, so flaming is not allowed.

Try to stay as active as possible, and possibly put a lil' something for us in your sig? :) Somethig along the lines of "Im a (insert which Performing Art(s) you participate in here)" or "Member of the Performing Arts Club" would suffice. But the blurb in the signature is not required, though, so feel free to ignore that.

Ok, formalities are over. Now let's get on with the show!

:) Actress, public speaker (for religion) and ex-piano player at your service. You know I'm here :D
And every time I think I've managed to get you out of my life you walk back in.
We'll build a castle in the sky, just big enough for the two of us,
Not straying in heaven for too long in case we can't get back out.
And we'll dance in the darkness,
The chaos bringing us peace,
We revel in the serenity of destruction.

Lick the blood off your hands,
wipe the sweat off your brow,
Me and you, we're the same.

^ No he wasnt! Alright, fine, he was... But only because he's awesome. XD

Ok, let's get this party started. Anyway, as most of you know, I am a singer, dancer, actress, piano player, violinist (and bad one, at that :glares at violin: ), and I do a little bit of public speaking or storytelling in the side.

Anyway, I'm SUPER nervous for my ballet exam this coming October.... It could make or break me... D: Ill probably fail. :( Oh well. I've friends to fail with me. ;)

But on the plus side, I'm preforming in a charity concert organized by my piano teacher. Not a very major event, but still. ^^ Plus, there's the Bible Knowledge post-exam sketch thing coming up, and Im kinda excited for that.

I'm not exactly sure, but the after school clubs I want to join include; public speaking, acting, and singing. So yes, if I get into drama expect a lot of "HELPS" XD But other than that I'm going to join Tatu Which means Teans Against Tabaco Use. I'll be in a lot of speaches and I'll be teaching little kids if I do it right.

But still, I'm going to love what I do! Even if I'm shy as heck .. >.<

Well here's my little dillemma. We start GCSEs early in my school, we do it two yrs early.
As we have an extra two yrs they let us pick 8 subjects instead of four (this does not include the compulsory subjects) anyway, we pick 8, do small taster courses on them for two terms and then we pick our final four.
I'm picking Triple science, History, Sociology and Drama for my final four but my dad wants me to do Geography instead of Drama.....Eugh i dont know whether I wanna displease him or make my own life easier (Doing geography instead of drama would kill me, they'd all be subjects were I'd have to stay back hours after school cos they try and cram to much in our heads)...well yeah, someone help.

On a happier note I asked for a piano for my B-day, I dont know if mum will get me one because of whta happened before when I had a piano but seriously my piano skills are going downhill at the mo and I need it to vent on.
And every time I think I've managed to get you out of my life you walk back in.
We'll build a castle in the sky, just big enough for the two of us,

And we'll dance in the darkness,

wipe the sweat off your brow,
Me and you, we're the same.

:bangs head against wall:

Still can't decide on a song for the charity concert.... :(

And my ballet exam is in 5 weeks and I'm totally unprepared! D:

:sighs:

But enough about that. Toushi, you should go with the one that you prefer. You don't have to please your parents all the time. Do your best, and please them with a good grade in what you want to do.

^ Why don't you just record the sound, make it a sound clip? Which reminds me, I gotta go make some sound clips to share here...

Awh come on Sea, u know u really want to. Secretly, very deep deep down you're dying to post a pic/vid up here. :p

My uncle wants us (me and some of my cousins) to preform at my sisters mendhi (henna party which happens before the wedding). My first reaction was
"Hell NO!"
but he bullied me into it (Darn my mum's annoying brothers!!)
Anyway i'll be posting a vid up here, the party is set for October (She's getting married on the 25th Oct)
But yeah I know some of the lil ones are doing poems/singing and dancing. I haven't decided what I'm gna do yet.
I might play the piano (that's my excuse for asking my mum to get me another piano :) )
And every time I think I've managed to get you out of my life you walk back in.

At my dance studio, we have 3 dance troupes (Junior Troupe, Performing Troupe and Competition Troupe) and we have a Christmas show the first weekend of December where all the troupes have a dance that just that troupe does (Junior Troupe's song is always Jingle Bells XD) and the troupe's OFFICIAL recital dance, and so I might have my mom film JT's cuz I'm in JT and I'll probably put it on Facebook, but IDK if I'd put it on Youtube and FG cause I don't want the choreography to get stolen :3
