The Amazon description of book 7 isAnd I've noticed that there haven't been many rumors flying around about Koboi being involved with this plotline in any way. But remember that interview where we heard about Artemis and Koboi being in the same cell in a prison? Now, I could be wrong, but here goes my theory. Koboi has been in every other book so far (as in book 2, 4, 6). The video I posted above suggests that they are going to turn Artemis back into a theiving little weasel. And now, we connect the dots. Perhaps after they turn Artemis back to evil near the end of book 7, he does something that lands him in prison with Koboi for... book 8? Go ahead and call me crazy if ya like, but it's my theory. It seems to fit...In this seventh adventure in the blockbuster series, an army of fairy space probes have returned to Earth reprogrammed to destroy Atlantis—and only Artemis Fowl can stop them. As he races to save the subaquatic city, the young mastermind must also combat an onslaught of obsessive-compulsive and delusional disorders, both byproducts of prodigious intellect and immense stress at an early age.

Ooooh, yes, I saw the article thanks a mill, HS9!
The only thing I'm a little nervous about is the "connection" between Artemis' and Holly's births. I mean, if they're related, it'll be cool and all, but also kind of ruin most of the stories on the fanfiction site haha

I think it would be kinda cool! I mean, a CONNECTION doesn't exactly mean that they're related, obviously. What if there was a connection like, something happened that Holly did that resulted in something that happened blah blah blah and somewhere down the line it causes Artemis's birth or something?
That would be AWESOME
That would be AWESOME

I wish this thread would speed up the release. I hate it when what the book's about is revealed because you want it more. I think this new one will be interesting and I can't wait for the psychological sense it will have. I love toying with the human mind.

Yuppers, its totally grueling!
@ cookieninja: I know; it would give me a brand-new perspective. (books tend to do this to me...) My mom would prob'ly like this; she's a therapist. Maybe I could see about reading AF with her after we're done with Percy J. And the Alchemist, and Pendragon, and maybe Warriors. Nah, just after Pendragon. Then I'll read the rest.
I have a problem with indecision. Can you tell at all?

^And so it is.
My parents and friends all know about the new book by now.
I've been talking incessantly about it at LEP. (Which, by the way, is the name of my school. No, I'm not kidding.)

Re: The Official Book 7 (The Atlantis Complex) Thread!
I've been thinking a lot about the upcoming AF book (well duh, who isn't?) and I've come up with my own theory for what should happen!
I've read quite a few complaints online about how Artemis seems to get dumber after the first book. There are even a few complaints that Artemis is too nice. From what I've read about the upcoming book Artemis gains a disorder called Atlantis Complex which makes him really nice but causes him to lose his ability to come up with his plans.
But what if Artemis got the Atlantis complex shortly after the first book and the disorder has progressed throughout all the other books, making him dumber but nicer till finally he he becomes a happy simpleton.
So Foaly cures him and Artemis is revertyed to the cold hearted criminal mastermind he was in the first book. Because of this he somehow teams up with Opal Koboi. But their evil plan fails (obviously Opals fault) and Opal and Artemis are sent to jail while everyone tries to figure out how tomake Artemis nice again.

I’m thinking of buying a monkey. Then I think, “Why stop at one?” I don’t like being limited in that way. Therefore, I’m considering a platoon of monkeys. So that people will look at me and see how mellow and well-adjusted I am compared to these monkeys throwing faeces around.
