"How does one describe Artemis Fowl?"

Thats the very first line of the first book, and I think it's about time we answered it. :D

So how would you describe him? ^_^

I'd say that hes a child genius, slowly learning that everything he once valued is nothing compared to the value of having real friends+family to care about.

I 'd jsut say he is too smart for his own good.
Off topic but try to imagine Artemis Fowl without his suppior brain power... would he still be emotionless? sarcastic? annoying? Would he be nicer, meaner? But there wouldn't be a story if he didn't find the People. But the main question is...

Would he still be

<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>EVIL?</span>
History is written in the blood of its people.

What exactly is a French before its fried?

If I had a sister, I'm sure she'd be inconsolable.

Hey, Mulch, if you listen really hard you can just about make out the sound of nobody giving a hoot.

                                        Would he still be

                                  <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>EVIL?</span>

I think he'd have alot more respect for people. If he wasn't so smart, he would have alot more superiors, who he would respect. Getting used to not being the best at everything would change him alot I'd say ^_^ (Though considering how rich he would be anyway, he might just end up as someone like Jon Spiro. Always "trying" to be the best :( )

btw - Ive seen you try to use the extra effects above the posts a few times. (Like the giant text, colour etc.). To use those you need to open the "tag" and then type your text (like you do), but you also have to close the tag afterwards (ive been doing that for you on a few of your posts ^_^ ).

To close it, all you have to do is click the link that says "Close All Tags" whenever you're ready to close it.

Eg. To make the word Artemis blue, the code would be:

Code: Select all

Artemis

Try it out. You'll get the hang of it in no time ^_^

And ILYA - haha - I didnt think for a second that you'd forget that :P

Genius. That's all that's necessary.

I just decided to go to the oldest topic and post. Apparently no one's said anything here since August.

If Artemis wouldn't be a genius,I think he would be just a lonely, cold and sarcastic boy, looking for someone to love him

If Artemis wasn't as smart, he might have still been evil, and probably for a longer amount of time. He was raised in a criminal family. The only reason he began to turn good was because his smarts led him to find his father, who had changed his opinion on life. That changed Artemis as well.

I think that Artemis finds other inferior to him in terms of brain power before because he was so smart that others didn't understand him and underestimated him, so he got "insulted" and became cold of others. But I guess he has half a right to, not like those people who think they know what you're thinking and scold you for an entirely different thing, but artemis would know... Artemis Fowl the Second always knows....

But when he became good, at least his brain power didn't go soft on him. They were just used for better purposes.

I think psychologically it made Artemis feel better to think that he was superior because of the trait people mocked him for. That would have led him to develop it more, which explains part of why he is so smart.

i think he was always nice, one just had to get to know him. everyone has a weak spot, and "nice" is just an opinion.

That sounds about right. I was going to be like any other fan girl and be like, sexy. Hot works too. Though I definately would not describe Artemis is nice. He may have a soft spot for a few people, but nice he is not.
Thanks to darvit and /b/for my signature. :D
And thanks Kagoma, for the awesome birthday present that is the C&H sprite!
