If you want to use colors, at least use them right.
Also, don't double post.
And this is a forum, not a chat, you have to wait at least 72 hours before double posting bumping the thread so someone reads it.

It's OK, since you're new. But you should definitely read the forum rules- they're in the announcement board. Double posting is against the rules, as has been said, and if you continue to do it, moderators will delete your posts. Also, try to make your posts meaningful- they should explain your opinion on the topic, and not be short, unrelated text.
Same goes for you, /b/ and Meova. You meant well, I know, but the best thing to do is gently steer the conversation back on topic. You're not mods, after all. And your posts had nothing to do with AF6.
Anyway, on topic:
Colfer's style of writing is far from soap opera-ish, I think. The way you put it, it sounds that way, but I think it'll be better than it sounds like. After all, a book is invariably different than the description people give, even the author. I know that when I try to persuade friends to read AF, it's hard to explain why it's not cliche. "Yes, it's about a kid who discovers fairies, but he's a criminal genius! It's different, trust me. No, it's not a rip off of Harry Potter!" So it's hard to judge. I don't care for what seems like it'll be pointless backstory, though. I have no interest in the fact that Holly hates humans because her mother died from radiation. Can't we just leave it at the fact that all fairies are bigots when it comes to humans?
I'm sure I'll like the book anyway, though.

I still hope it's not too soap-opera-ish with The various mentions of betrayal and cause of death re-tellings Colfer was talking about, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Sorry, hon. Never meant to be that much backseat moderating, but I already was annoyed, and I got more annoyed with the posts. Sorry, I'll try to never do it again
Anyway, I also have to explain over and over again what Artemis is, and in the end, they won't read it, because they won't read fairy-tales. *slaps head*

Re: [OFFICIAL] Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox (AF6)
I was looking through FG, and on the book 6 page I found a link to an article with this satatement:
So I guess the returning villain is not such a mystery after all?
I'm glad it's the past Artemis; that's what I was hoping for.
As for "Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox," the sixth book in the series due in stores July 15, 2008, Colfer teased, "Artemis has to go back in time to defeat his most dangerous foe, his younger, and less amiable self."

Re: [OFFICIAL] Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox (AF6)
Won't they have to brainwash the younger Artemis then so he doesn't remember anything...hmm...maybe that's why he was so intrested in fairies in the first place, because he sort of 'remembered' them w/ out really 'remembering' them. Ya know? Or did that just confuse you.

DUUUUUUUUH! Me no very...in-tell-i-junt...

Actually, despite my blondeness, I think I know what you mean. Are you saying the younger Artemis would be memory wiped in the future, then when he's searching for fairies in the first book, it's actually because he recalls some of what happened in the future, even though he doesn't quite realise it?
That may have made sense, it may not have done. I'm usually rubbish at explanations.
I'm looking forward to the next book, whatever happens. Can anyone honestly say that they haven't at some point been worried about the next AF book at any point, whichever book that was? I know I was slightly worried about the Lost Colony's plot, and when I read it I still loved it. I don't doubt Colfer's talent as a writer, and I am sure The Time Paradox will be the next in a whole series of great books. But, of course, I am also hoping Artemis won't die, for the sake of his fans.

It is a good idea. It is also possible. It could've been the reason why Artemis looked for more information on fairies, and not on, lets say, mermaids.

Amazon has a description:
Basically what we already knew. But it's nice to see something official.
And AFC is lucky enough to have the cover-

It's pretty. Even though as an American I'll never see it, it's my favorite of the British ones, I think.
And is that a monkey on Artemis's side? Maybe that's the creature he needs to save Angeline...
Teenage criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl has a new mission - and this time, it's personal. Artemis' mother is dangerously ill, and the only way to find a cure is for Artemis - with Holly Short by his side - to go back in time to battle his younger, more evil self.
Basically what we already knew. But it's nice to see something official.

A monkey? That's an interesting thought.
Clicky, though it might not be related.
I hope it's not. Books should not have too much to do with political awareness. It never turns out well.
Thanks for that, though!
