Hehe - Ive listed a few up there, most of the main ones at least

So who is yours? And tell us why!

Mine is Artemis himself. He was just so evil, so clever, and so under-estimated!

He could not have done things any more perfectly!
btw - Someone please tell me the name of root's brother. I cant believe i have forgotten it. I guess this is what fatigue does to a person

I voted for Artemis too.

I loved the way that he was the "hero" but was the bad guy at the same time, and the way he was pitted up against Holly and the other fairies - I could never decide who to root for!
Root's brother was called Turnball, btw.

I voted Jon Spiro because he is just soo darn BAD!!!! He is like a cartoon bad guy so he's funny too.

Main reason why i dont like him... his thug nearly killed Arty!!! But he ended up actually KILLING Butler!!!

It's a good thing Holly is always there to save the day!

But will Holly always be?

In her interview in The Artemis Fowl File, she did say "And im not always going to be there to save Butler." Wonder if shes right :ph43r:
Spiro rocked, because he was clever! Just not clever enough

And the obsession with white scared me

For me, nothing beats the first Artemis Fowl book!
Yes Artemis, you are just so awesome.
I agree with Kitty and Michael--You don't know if Artemis was the good guy or the bad guy.. And that was an amazing feat in Colfer's part: he created a character that doubled as a protagonist and an antagonist.. <Yoda>Wonderful writer, Colfer truly is.</Yoda>

It was a toss up between Artemis and Opal but I adore Artemis as the villian in the first book.

Artemis was definately the perfect villian in the first book.

I decided not to pick Artemis because that's just not fair. My second-favorite (and the one I voted for) was Jon Spiro because he did his best to follow the <a href='http://www.eviloverlord.com/lists/overlord.html' target='_blank'>The Evil Overlord List</a> and could have won if it wasn't for Butler. Besides, he outsmarted Artemis Fowl. That has to take some brains, especially when he did it without the benefit of fairy magic. I liked Spiro a lot more than Koboi.

Helluva link! I couldnt agree more with it

Perhaps someone should email it to Hollywood?
Btw - Spiro believed that Arty just vanished. That has to be one big flaw

I chose Arty. He's simply the best!!! B)
He has this cold look, he never gets angry or panicked, always saves his face, he articulates wonderfully, and just has STYLE!!!
He's a great actor, too. In Munich he was
brilliant (Hilarious, dude

)
What else I've got to say...? He's indescribable.

lol - He'd be such a good poker player

And id never be able to pull off the Munich part. When the guard said the line to him about "Ha - You didnt do anything" (similar to that

), i just know i wouldnt be able to resist pulling out that painting
