What do you thing?Do you know somebody whit this kind of hatered aganst others? What will you say to that person?

I've watched movies about this but I don't think people with diff. skin color, particularly, dark skin should be discriminated because a person's intelligence does not rely on his/her skin color.

I try my best not to judge people from how they look. It's not allwas easy, but judging by appearance and past instead of personalit is so WRONG. It makes me sick.

What bugs me the most is when people judge people by their religion. It happens way too often. I remember having to sit in a car while two men (a lot older) went on a rant about how we should kill all muslims. They said we should just invade their country and keep them in line. I couldn't believe it. I mean, out of a couple hundred thousand muslims, a hundred cause trouble. Way more christians cause trouble, and nobody bothers them. Way back when christians were the problem solvers. I'm not saying shun christians, I am one. But I don't think we should hate these people for their religion when we ourselves aren't so innocent.

its stupid to think that skin colour can make a difference. because some "white" people are mean to "black" people or people of other nasinallitys(sp???????). but u don't see people with out a tan being mean to people with a tan! and how could such a small thing make a difference to the person's personallity(sp??)

ok i double posted but i did not read this post

its wrong to treat people differently. no matter what they believe. this is always gonna be a problem as long as people have their own thoughts and how can it be right for people to be able to kill people cuz they believe something different.

I hate racism. :(

I would never forget the time when I experienced a bit of this.

I was wearing a tank top and jeans and I was with my parents at the parking lot, ready to get inside a restaurant, when suddenly, some guy in a car screamed: "HEY!!! HOW MUCH??!!"

I didn't realize that he was directing that to me. We were shocked. My parents turned to see who said it, while I didn't. I was furious. You see caucasian girls wear tank tops in public, and nobody thinks they're whores. Then when an Asian girl wears a tank top [a decent one, at that], that idiotic guy would scream a racist stereotype.

I'm not fat. I'm not ugly. But I'm Asian. And some idiot thinks that all Asian girls who wear tank tops are prostitutes.

The *^$#@!$^$#?!@#$%^ nerve.

At that moment, I swore that I would never wear a tank top in public ever again, damn it! I also swore that if I ever see him again, I am going to cut him up into little pieces and feed him to the dogs, the racist *******! #$%^&@!!!

I also hate the fact that people think that all foreigners are illegal immigrants. I hate it when they think that all Asians speak broken English, and are uneducated.

I think that is the reason why I always make it a point to look better, be smarter, and work harder than everyone else. It is in becoming a positive example that somehow, these people would abandon the bad press and their pre-conceived notions, and see that we could be so much more.... :(

That's terrible D'arvit- I got angry just reading it. Although it's rather ironic, because where I live the stereotype of asians is that they're really smart and do nothing but study. Which is also a lie, albeit a less harmful one.

I am lucky not to have peronally live in a place where there is a lot of severe racism or anti-semitism. Unfortunately, there are still stereotypes. People are just stupid that way.

Honestly the world would be a better place if all those racists would just die.

I wouldn't say that. Not only should you notcondemn a stranger to death based on a belief (even one as terrible as racism), are you not then hypocritical yourself? Think about it.

Yeah, a lot of the time racism is nurtured by the parents, or society. They can be convinced otherwise and may be a good person.
D'arvit that is so bad! I would have attacked them! No Joke.

There was a bottle of Coke [unopened] lying on the floor and I seriously considered throwing it at him. My mom stopped me. D'Arvit! <_<

Yeah, that's the stereotype in school. Less harmful, I agree.

I think racism is common in places where people haven't experienced diversity, or aren't educated or mature enough to embrace everyone. :(

Like in our church, there aren't any African-American people around.. Well, there's just one African-American lady, and she couldn't mingle with the Caucasians, so she stays with us Asians [because we're just "in-between"].

I don't think that we've totally obliterated racism after the segregation. Well at least not here, down south. :(

It's getting better though. People who are racists are scorned instead of helped out. There's a lot less racism in the world than there was even ten years ago.

That's horrible D'arvit.... I know how that feels there's a bunch of guys who take my train who always call me a whore, not a slut or skank but a whore, just because I don't fall into the "typical curry stereotype", they think just because I don't wear my skirt at my ankles and avoid all eye contact with the opposite *** that I'm some tramp... I HATE THEM SO MUCH!!

There are so many racist at my school, even one of my close friends is a major racist (makes me wonder why I'd even be her friend)...because the large amount of Asian?s at my schools people often make the remark that "Asians should leave Australia" "Their Taking Over" etc... I'm so sick of it.

Ever since the Iraq War and terrorism, Australia seems to become less tolerant to other cultures, but they have to remember that Australia was settled by immigrants and convicts from the British settlements and that others have as much as right to live in Australia then they do.

I remember once somebody I was in a car with said; "We can't trust the french, or France anymore, too many muslims live there." I couldn't believe my ears. You just reminded me of that comment.
