Literally the second he gets any sort of advantage, what's the first thing he does? Calls Nate to boast about it.

Like, dude, dude....you could've just taken the clue, marshalled the troops and set off on the next location....or if you're tracking Nate and the other's, track them, wait for them to put their guard down i.e., when they're back at the hotel and utterly defenseless/unexpecting an attack.
But no, you giddily call Nate to essentially stick your tongue out and waggle your fingers.

Perhaps the "gank them while they're sleeping" bit was proposed by Nadine and Rafe, wanting to impress or take control, just decided....nah?

I love how in point and click games, the instinct is to literally steal everything that's not nailed down.

And if it is nailed down, you go out of your way to obtain a crowbar to pry it up.

Then puzzle for the next ten hours on why the hell you were so determined to steal someone's monocle.
