Yesterday I had some soup with garlic bread.

Today I made a stirfry with noodles and successfully marinated tofu!

Oh yum, what did you marinate the tofu in? And how did you prep it? I've always wanted to try tofu but been put off by people who have told me it can be really hard to get right, and lots of effort for little reward.

For my dinner tonight I have ordered Mexican! I have a "California" burrito coming with extra cheese and extra mushrooms, skin-on fries with chilli salt, and cheesy nachos.

Well, don't be put off. If you get it wrong, really the worst that will happen is that it'll taste bland, cause it has pretty much no flavour of its own. And that's a risk I can live with.

I used a combination of several tricks I picked up from cooking shows. I cut it into small cubes and tried to get as much moisture out as a could between some kitchen towels. The rule for marinating tofu apparently is longer=better, but no more than a day, so I prepped it in the morning, giving it around 10 hours of marinating time. The marinade was just some curry spices and salt with water and oil. After marinating, I drained the marinade, I tossed them in a little flour and just fried them in a pan. They ended up nice and crispy!

Today I had some chilli with tortilla chips.

That sounds delightful! I might add it to next week's shopping list and give it a go :D Thanks a lot ^_^

I just had a chip buttie. Trying to keep it plain today.

Wednesday, I barbecued chicken tenders with sweet potatoes. Today, I made a roast with pasta.
