Darvits sig put me in the mood for this thread! :D

Has anyone else played these games?

Ive only played X and X2 (Didnt really want to go back to the older ones, once id played the latest).

I utterly loved them! :jump:

The storyline in X is good enough to be published!! The graphics speak for themselves and the gameplay is perfect!

X2 was pretty poorly received on a whole, but i still loved it. The timed battle system was a nice change, and the dress-spheres and ability powers made for soooo many possible combinations :o

Spira developed brilliantly, the FMVs were of course incredible, and the main storyline was still very good. I especially enjoyed the idea of a % score. You could complete the game on 48%, but it was the other 52% that made it worth playing! :D (And rikku rocks B) )

I've played a little bit of VII, about a quarter of IX, watched bits of X and had a browse through lots of X2 websites. XD; My favourite was IX, because I really liked the setting and the atmosphere.

I think a lot of the FF storylines are very good. I do wish you could read them in novel form or something, for people like me who are dependent on the goodwill (and occupation elsewhere) of siblings!

(I used to have a poster of Rikku on my wall!)

I was absolutely thrilled when I saw this thread!!! :jump:

I LOOOOVE FINAL FANTASY!

A long long time ago [gosh, this makes me sound like I'm sooo old! :lmao:], I made this Final Fantasy VIII website. It was great [content-wise and traffic-wise] and all, but then my webhost collapsed... :pop: And my two years' labor of love was lost forever... Of course, I had back-ups on my PC, but I was overcome by depression and laziness, and oh, okay, schoolwork. :P

I also played FF7 and FF9.. I haven't tried playing FFX or FFX-2 because my parents don't approve of purchasing PS2 [they say video games aren't necessary <_< ], but I pretty much know the storyline anyway. And I love the characters all the same. :D

Have you guys seen Final Fantasy VII Advent Children? It's absolutely brilliant!!!! The graphics and everything... *speechless*

I do wish you could read them in novel form or something[/quote]
I agree! And I hope they make more movies! [Well, okay, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within wasn't really a good one.. 'twas a flop, actually]

Hehe - Yay - FF fans :D

Ive heard great things about all of the games tbh (mainly vii, viii, ix and x). I probably should play them XD

Kitty - You think a poster is bad? :P

http://img16.imageshack.us/my.php?image=games23hz.jpg

Thats my room (and the walls are NOT that colour anymore :P ). I won the thing on the right from Game! :D Its between 5 and 6 feet high, with a side for Yuna, one for Rikku and one for Paine. I love it :jump:

Darvit - An FF site? Cool :D

My parents hate games, but they do appreciate the fact that it keeps me and my bros quiet and out of the way :)

AC is brilliant!!!! The graphics are so realistic, its scary :ph43r:

Its just such a shame that the Spirits Within was a failure. Otherwise we could have seen AC in the cinemas :(

I quite like SW tbh. It wasnt brilliant, but nothing wrong with it either. It just veered too far from FF worlds :(

My parents are reasonably into games themselves so they're only against spending me my entire day playing them. XD; Unfortunately my brother seems to be on World of Warcraft all the time now!

Advent Children does look amazing, but I haven't seen it. It's not out in English yet, is it? And I haven't finished FFVII so I'd probably be so confused anyway.

Spirits Within was a bit pants, but I think it was because they bailed out on an actual plot in favour of "look, CGI can replace actors entirely!" which, umm, didn't work.

Michael, Rikku was wearing her X2 outfit on the poster... And I'm a heterosexual female! I have no idea what my parents thought. Yours is really cool though. What is it, like a stand or something?

WoW is too addictive. Im not going near anymore more MMORPGs. Im not getting addicted again! XD

AC isnt out in English yet. Nope :(

Its due sometime around Spring this year i think. I borrowed a subbed version off my friend :)

I prefer subtitles to dubbed :(

Youre right about SW. Thats why AC was good. They built on a storyline already proven to be a success :D

As for the stand thing - Yep. It was the stand used in Game (the shop) to advertise the FFX2 release. Its the thing that they sometimes set at the front door when some great game is coming out :)

And rikku is in the ffx2 outfit that she was in, in your poster. I definitely understand where youre coming from XD

Hey there's a new Final Fantasy game coming out on PS2 called Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. I think the game carries on what was left after ff7-AC. Here's a trailer video and a translation, if you guys don't wanna guess what the Japanese means..
Yuffie: Finished on this end. What about you?
Vincent: Done. But, Yuffie. Take a look at the Mako cannon.
Yuffie: There's nothing really... huh, what?
Vincent: Thought so.
Yuffie: W-wait! This isn't right! This shouldn't be possible. There's no way anyone could be up there, not like this!
Vincent: Yuffie, you go on ahead back to Cloud and others. Looks like I've still got work to do here.
Yuffie: Ho-hold on! Vincent... This looks bad. Get back here!

[Redemption]

Vincent: Hm, I guess there's no way around it. Let's save the world

The game has been released in Japan. *sigh*
hehe,just wanted to share that.

Im not surprised you cant find it. That forum is massive!!! :o

The site seems small in comparison XD

Thanks for the link :)

The Enix site has good backing music, and the pic of Vincent is immense! :jump:

Aside from those important things though XD, the screenshots are nice, but somethings missing

The graphics dont seem as awesome as other FF games have been :(

Yeah, after a long time when I thought the site was dead, I went to the forums and the people there are still active!

Yeah, the graphics aren't as impressive during gameplay.. I hope that would be proven wrong.

Man, I HAVE to get a PS2 for this game!!! Or a PS3 even, for that next one..

As for the links.. you're welcome. The site's bookmarked in a folder, *lol*. B)
I had to wait for a while for the profiles to load. The pages are just too graphics-loaded. But it's all worth the wait.

I hope they'll release a version in English soon.

How many times do i have to tell you? NO REMAKE

Like come on we discussed that piece of shit 'Dirge of Cerebrus', which will of course ruin FFVII completly.

But anyway back to the topic at hand FF, basically every time i get a new FF game i over play it. Over 100 hours in my X file and I just started a new one XD. But in X i am invincible like a ninja ---> :ph43r:

i think ill start a pole outside about the best game, I know what it will be for me and Michael, im just thinking of the poor fool who has 8 in their sig and how much i will lose all respect for them if they vote for 8.
