BF2 and CS:S needs a lot of resources...

I prefer Deathmatch Classic (Quake? multiplayer in HL-engine), it's relaxing no-brains "rocket-tag"-game... It needs Steam-account and HL-cd-key etc, but every self-respective gamer should have those.

I checked that out (Because they really are a strain on the comp XD ), but my system can play them ^_^

Deathmatch Classic sounds a bit too chaotic for me tbh. I wanted something quite tactical, like having to take constant cover, work in a team etc, so Ive just ordered Battlefield 2 :)

THe only problem is how much ill probably lag when i try to play online.... stupid router :(

YaY Counter Strike Source is amazing, and I have it, so if anyones up for a game, count me in!!!

Routers aren't too bad. I was playing online with my router a while ago and everything seemed fine. Hopefully it'll go okay with you too.

My computer is (only) 2400+ Athlon, 512Mt RAM, ATI Radeon 9600, so BF2 won't even work, and CS is full of cheaters, so I don't even want to try it (again), in DMC cheats are useless...

As long as you remember to jump and move all the time, and don't join to server where is pro-players (like Suicide... He killed me 52 times yesterday, I managed to kill him only once), then there is possibility that you are alive more than 10 seconds... But yeah, DMC isn't very tactical. But IIRC Rainbow Six-games are tactical FPS-games, try them, if they even has Internet-multiplayer...

It might be that your ISP has wrong routing from your computer to the other server, so that's why it lags. (it's pretty uncommon, though, but I have read about one Finnish infamous (but still one of the biggest) ISP who routed Finland -> Sweden traffic through UK...)
Try to ping/traceroute some servers, it may tell why your connection lags.
