Recommend Some Horror Films?
Ok, so in our flat we all love to watch scary films coz we think they're hilarious sometimes. Does anyone have any recommendations so far we have watched
[*]Insidious 1 & 2
[*]The entire Saw franchise
[*]Rec
[*]Ghost Shark
[*]The Evil Dead
[*]The Collector
[*]Texas Chainsaw Massacre
[*]The entire Grudge series
[*]A Nightmare on Elm Street
[*]The Conjuring
[*]The Ring
[*]Event Horizon (although we did have guests over for that one and they would not shut up all the way through it so we may need to rewatch that one).
Our absolute favourites out of these have been the Insidious films and the Saw films, and for those of us who could hear it Event Horizon. Ghost Shark is hilarious (think Sharknado) and Rec is just really boring! Our opinion on The Collector is divided, we all agree that the main body of the film is good but some of us think the ending was bad and some think the ending is good.
So far on our list of stuff still to watch
[*]the Resident Evil films
[*]possibly The Blair Witch project
[*]Silent Hill
Can anyone recommend any good ones?

Let's see
The original Thai version of Shutter is very good. I loved Cabin in the Woods too (that one is also incredibly funny)
Delicatessen is a comedy, but it's a comedy set in a future similar to "the Road" so it's pretty terrifying, or maybe it's just really dark humor.

Oh I completely forgot about Cabin in the Woods, that's been recommended to me before! Thank you, I'll add those to the list I'm making in MS Word
Does anyone know if the sequel to The Evil Dead is any good? We're in two minds about watching it. The first one had an awesome gore factor but the main character was so annoying and the ending just got on our nerves.

Re: Recommend Some Horror Films?
(yay, someone talked about a French movie ? ) Delicatessen is more humoristic than horrific, but why not, this movie's a lot of fun anyway ^^
Jacob's Ladder is a great horror movie, though it's maybe a bit old now ; The Village of the Damned is, as you prefer, a black-and-white horror classic or a ridiculous remake by John Carpenter, with Superman in it =O If you enjoyed The Ring you might like Dark Water, it's the same director. I recommand Panic Room too.
But if you want to have a good laugh, watch Dario Argento's movies. Suspiria and Phenomena are the bests.

Mama is actually really good. It disturbed me right down to my socks when I first saw it, so I would recommend it.
I hide beneath your bed.
I lurk in the shadows of your world.
I slowly destroy your sanity.
I am your graceless heart.

Oh thank you guys so much!
I just looked up Mama and showed it to my flatmate and he is positively excited by it. We may even watch it tonight if we get the chance

We liked it We were really pleased with the ending coz we hate endings where it just all goes away and everyone is happy, so it was really cool

Yay I'm so glad you liked it!
Two more movies, The Devil's Rejects and Sinister. Both of those freaked me out (way more than Clockwork Orange, actually...) TDR has quite a bit of sexy stuff, just as a warning.
