From the telly, I caught part of Face/Off....and now will end up needing to procure a copy to view at my leisure.

A film from 1995 called Outbreak. I started out invested but by the time we, for some reason, got to a helicopter change I was feeling pretty meh about it. Great actors in it, but they had a poor script to work with imo.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

I'm proud to say this is the second time I've been able to view this on the big screen. Guess that's one thing the pandemic is good for.

Also, EVERYONE SAW BELLOQ EAT THE FLY. So nyeh.

I watched Knives Out. A solid bit of entertainment, I think my expectations were probably too high because everyone around me had hyped it up to no end. But it wasn't wasted time and kept me watching for 2 hours.

^It irks me just a tad it was marketed as a "Whodunnit" when they simply give up and tell you halfway through...then it sort of becomes a "howtheygetawaywithit"
Otherwise, it was alright, from what I remember :D

Ditto. Except there was no fly swallowing that I could discern.

Oh! I also technically saw Christine last night on the telly...but with the amount of censoring....the poor movie was all but chopped to pieces.
Seriously.
Censoring and CGI, my two biggest pet peeves for a film/shows.
Y'know, if you have to censor something, don't BLEEP it out or try and do a word swap, just....do the silence thing. "Why you sunuva...." "A toast, to the .... of the world!"

It was just extremely jarring to watch with my poor simpleton head expecting the film to follow a particular structure only to have an entire scene stripped out.

*continues to ramble, mutters about snow and cats and other vague things that make no sense*

Jurassic Park :D

On a big screen :awesome:

How does 20+ year old CGI hold up and today's nonsense couldn't fool a half blind horse?

^ Practical effects beat CGI every time, man. They built those suckers. Same reason the original LotR movies (for the most part) look so good where the Hobbit movies look pretty garbage in comparison.

We finally got through Spider-man Homecoming the other day  Just a tiny bit late to the party. But we found it for free on TV, so.

^Spidey is always a win!!!
Ahhhhhh, practical effects <3

The Bourne Identity.

I remember watching it initially a few years back (not in theaters or anything) and not being entirely impressed, but on reconsideration, the first one was pretty good.

Yaaaas! 100% :raised_hands:

I watched the newest Jurassic World. Fallen Kingdom I think it was called. It was pretty middle of the road. Lots of callbacks to the first film which just felt a lil bit like lazy writing to try and get the viewer onside. Cannot believe they legit had I dino do that weird wink and smile thing.

^ "Alan"

I watched part of a movie called Witchboard. I literally only knew the name of the movie by googling "Oujia board movie david linda jim"
Had it on as I did a word search. Think I said crossword puzzle somewhere else, but it was a word search.

Hm...the other day Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was on. I wasn't exactly paying attention and went off to bed within ten minutes. But I'll count it for posting sake. ^_^
