I watched Cube: Zero again last night. I've been into rewatching stuff from ages ago. It wasn't as good as I thought it was the first time.

I caught a tad of Superbad on the telly.

Man, that one scene with McLovin and the cops kinda hits differently now.

In the bedroom, Slater and Michaels admit they know McLovin was using a fake ID and offer backstory about disliking the law and say that they wanted to show McLovin that they could have a fun time too...and in a way were reminding themselves as well.

It drives back that age old theme of adults being young once too and longing for the simpler times and having adventures.

I suppose a more analytically minded individual would dissect Slater and conclude he's become highly disillusioned with his job, perhaps his old partner was murdered on the job and the force did nothing to try and catch the killer, even when he's winking them in the face.

.....still kinda want to see a spin off / sequel with them xD

I watched a film called Mary Loss of Soul. It was ok. It was more like a spooky film for children, but the plot was solid enough and it kept me entertained so I'm not going to complain too much. It also portrayed a much more realistic family dynamic than in some horror films.

I watched part of The Thing.

Holds up so well with effects and the psychological aspect.

I think I'm on a Carpenter kick, now I want to see Christine xD

The Abandoned. It was ok. The ending was unexpected and the performances were alright. It was a solid middle of the road flick. Not bad, but not good enough to recommend to others either.

Meet the Fockers

Still hilarious. Though I do have to look at Jack with a slightly unforgiving light. If he saw the stuff that goes on today, he'd be thoroughly floored.

I also saw Christine!! I showed it to my niece and she loved it. Said she wants a car just like her.

I've done well. ^_^

Behind You. Very run of the mill and very forgettable, it seemed like it went on forever and had a bunch of endings. Not very unique either.

Caught part of the second Kingsman movie. I saw the first, never seen the second all the way through. They seem to favor John Denver quite a bit in there...which is certainly not a bad thing.

The Last Winter. I couldn't get invested in the characters, the special effects were awful, there were some bits just ridiculously unbelievable and the ending was so so.

I caught a smidge of the 2017 It movie, it was enough for me to do my Pennywise impersonation....which isn't necessarily the best, but it amuses me. xD

Fill-In: The clown or the impersonation?

Exactly.

Dar Amazon. Very slow. The premise was good, none of the characters were likeable, it felt cheap and the ending was just so blah. Pretty forgettable.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Our local theater re-opened and that was one of the films they were running (along with Sonic, the first four HP films and a few others).

Naughty naughty you say? Au contraire! It was safer than going grocery shopping. It was just my party and I in the theater along with two other people several rows back. Social distance maintained.

Plus, it's a family owned theater. I'd hate to see them go under while the conglomerates get to swoop in and reap benefits.

I'd never seen Ferris on the big screen before, but it was just as amazing, hearing all those classic lines, that iconic Ferrari, the "Star Wars" gag...I also noticed Sloane Peterson had some sassy expressions going on. Little things like that.

.....kinda hoping BTTF or Indy will pop onto the screen.

I watched The History of Time Travel.

Oh my god it was absolutely amazing. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't go into too much detail. It's a "documentary" about the invention of time travel and the effects that it had (might have had) on the past. It is so clever, so entertaining, so so so clever, and I absolutely love it! I am gonna be recommending it to everyone! :D
