Re: Doctor Who
A while back, there were rumors of a Doctor Who movie, directed by the same person that directed Harry Potter. Fans were upset about this because there would be a new cast and everything, and the storyline would most likely be changed.
The other day, I heard whispers of a movie (I have no idea if it's true or not) that might be made, written by Steven Moffat and run by the BBC, starring Eleven. Somehow it would be a somewhat alternate timeline to the new seasons (I'm not sure how many seasons that would apply to - probably the last two).
And I was remembering it last night, and I just couldn't stop thinking about it. So what would you guys think of a Doctor Who movie? Personally, I think it would be, as Nine would say, fantastic!

Re: Doctor Who
I think it could be great as long as they didn't alter it a lot, and all the current writers (Moffat, Gattis, ect.) wrote the script and such. It could be a great opportunity to show Doctor Who off to the oblivious Americans who have never had the privillage to watch an episode
Hehehe...

Re: Doctor Who
^That's what I thought, too.
I just think a lot of people should see it. Because it's an awesome show and I just think it would be amazing to be able to turn to the person next to me, whoever it is, make a funny Doctor Who reference, and have them laugh because they get it.
I love The Hunger Games so much, but I really, really, wish that Doctor Who got as much publicity as that in America. It deserves it. I mean, this year the show will have been running for 49 whole freaking years. That's more than any other show can claim. And I think it's absolute crap that an awesome sci-fi show that's been on for almost 49 years has been eclipsed by disgustingly stupid things like Twilight. There are things that I'm glad are as famous and spectacular and well-liked as they are (The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and several other things come to mind), but Doctor Who and the actors and writers and directors involved deserve to be recognized. It's good TV. It's better than most everything else that's on these days and it's just sad that nobody knows what it is.
Rant over.

Re: Doctor Who
It's always a wonder how sci-fi can be pretty underated sometimes, that's all. People nowadays love fast-paced bad romance or action, instead of awesome british actors going through in time.
