Well, if everything goes to plan, I'll have my bachelor at the end of this year. I'm considering doing something else for a year or half a year before starting my master, mostly because if I don't go abroad now, I'm afraid I'll never do it. But the problem is I've got no concrete plan whatsoever, so there's still a good chance I'll go with the safe choice. I'll have to think hard about it during the next couple of months (and make sure I pass all my subjects so I get my bachelor).

I'm crossing my fingers for that you get to go somewhere!

If you want some travel ideas, I can help you out, I've been travelling quite a bit these past years, so I have a few places to recommend if you want! <3 You can also PM me if you don't want to talk about it here - or not if you don't want my help, of course

I'd love some recommendations if you'd be so kind as to give me some. I think the most difficult part is that there are so many options... The world is a big place. And that I'm not the kind of person to just go backpacking and see where I end up (also, I'd have to call my mom every hour if I did that so she'd know I'm safe xD ). I need a clear plan and that's difficult.
What kind of travelling have you done, aside from being an au pair in Japan and studying overseas?

Well, I've done some light travelling around Europe and the USA. I also have some friends who live here and there who could help you out if you'd like. It totally depends on what you would like to do of course - studying, sightseeing, backpacking, whatever :)

Work and travel would be the plan if I want to go abroad for longer than a regular holiday. Or working here in the Netherlands and just going abroad for a short time of sightseeing.

Hey FG. It's been quite a long time since I frequented these forums, but there are some things I wanted to share with all of you.

I am finally no longer working as a mathematics tutor and have now gotten a salaried job as an IT tech. I really feel like my life is beginning to go places now.

Some of you veterans on the site will remember my past difficulties with relationships. Well, all that is over now.
With the money from the new job, the missus and I have moved into a house together, and she has agreed to marry me next year.

New job, new house, new wife. Things are a bit of a whirlwind right now. But I've never forgotten all of you here at FG, and I still consider you all my dear friends.

^I think they do, I usually don't look on Amazon for second hand, but I think I've seen the option a few times.

I mentioned this to a quiet shout box a few days ago, and today this popped up in my feed

I don't know how or why we became friends - I have never, to my knowledge, actually written anything to him, but it still made me very happy to see this.
And just, every time I see him on my feed, I think of the good memories associated with him and his books (that means you guys!)

I saw you post that on the sb! Pretty neat. I don't think I have anyone famous in my friend's list. Well....except Colin. :tinfoilhat:
