Yes, Artemis has it all, he has style, he's even somewhat dark and mysterious, traits that I have always associated with the greatest villains and that Spiro doesn't have...but I couldn't trully consider Artemis evil. He is the bad character of book 1, but I couldn't consider him a villain since the first "joke" he made, which made me feel that a change in him is about to occur...since that, in book 1, I've seen the fairys and Artemis just as 2 opposite parties, with different interests and purposes...

and I've always considered memory erasing and time stopping kind of hostile means :P

Ill agree with ya on the memory erasing - Definitely not the nicest thing to do to someone :(

this thing disturbed me also in Harry Potter...but here I find it a bit worse because the ones that do the erasing aren't humans, but a *love, peace and understanding* species :P I know that on the long run it is considered best for us etc etc, but I still can't help considering it a form of violence, because they are imposing their will against us....and there's really nothing we can do if, of course, we're not Artemises

and time stopping is just unfair and of course, a way of manipulation. I think I forgot to mention hypnosis :D

so, are the fairies villains? :P
Oh yes, about my name, Artemis. You were right in London, it's a female name after the Greek goddess of archery. But every now and then a male comes along with such a talent for hunting that he earns the right to use the name. I am that male. Artemis the hunter. I hunted you.

Damn, I just think Koboi is funny, and partly stupid. :D

I dont think theyre villains, as they don't play that way. The books sees to that. So long as that continues to be their rules, then they cant be mean. Eg. Once they lose a battle, thats it. No grudges :)

And the mesmer isnt so bad, as they do do their best to only remove the necessary memories (when they can). The block mesmer is pretty mean though :(

And i suppose that they do need to keep some people quiet, and removing the memories is the nicest way they could do that really. The only other option would be force... :(

i voted jon spiro for a few reasons:

1. he is a human, unlike the others hu are some Lower Elements being therefore they have superior technology and powers, spiro does not.

2. he was the only 1 capable of putsmarting Artemis twice in 1 book!!!

3. he was a crazy, self righteous, egotistical, evil madman all the things that a good villian should have!

4. and finally he wasnt bent on taking over the world like the others!!! he was in it to make a lot of cash and say f*** off to the rest of the world =D

Artemis is the best. He's like so cool when he's evil (i mean plotting) B)

Artemis can beat all the other villain easily. XD
It's this blasted puberty, Butler. Every time I see a pretty girl, I waste valuable mind space thinking about her.
-Lost Colony pg 6

I voted Artemis, but my second choice would have to be John Spiro.
