Once there lived a very cruel king, who did not want anybody to trespass his land. By the border bridge stood an armed guard, who asked every bypasser a question: "Where are you going?" If the bypasser told lies, the guard hanged him on the nearest tree. If the bypasser told the truth, the guard had to drown him in the river.

But one man managed to evade certain death by answering wisely on the evil guard. As usual, the guard asked him "Where are you going?"

What did the man answer?

To the next tree, where you'll hang me.

If you were sentenced to death, what would you rather choose, thrown into a lake of acid, burned over a fire, fed to wolves that haven't eaten in 30 days or being thrown off a castle turret?

Wolves. The wolves would be dead if they haven't eaten in a month.
ok.

The person who made it doesn't want it. The person who buys it doesn't need it. And the person who needs it doesn't know they need it. What is it?

No honor, no glory, only blisters in unfortunate places~

A coffin, right? I know another one like that:

The person who makes it won't keep it.
The person who gets it won't know it.
The person who knows it doesn't want it.

Fake money

here's mine:

Warmth comes from my heart while cold is in my soul, what am i?

An eskimo. warmth comes from my heart (i'm warm-blooded, therefore i'm a mammal), while cold comes from my soul (this is easier to say because it should be soles, as in feet. coldfooted)

This next one should be known by AF fans.

I am you,
i see me in the mirror,
what do i see?

A paradox. if i'm you then you are me, and if you are me and i see me in the mirror, then i see you. except for the fact that i'm you, but you're me. it keeps going around and never stops.

Heres one I know:
Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.
Also here a even harder one:
An eye in a blue face
Saw an eye in a green face.
"That eye is like to this eye"
Said the first eye,
"But in low place
Not in high place".

Have a go at these... :D

They both produce flat notes, and Poe wrote on both to my experience.

I have a riddle for you: what weighs more, a ton of gold, or a ton of cotton?

They weigh the same. They're both a ton!

To the first post on this forum: The only answer I can think of is word play: Bang your head on the box until it is sore, then use the saw (sore!) to cut a hole in the box and run away!

To Worldy's one: The first is the wind and I think the second is the sun looking on a daisy???

FowlsGirl1234: I don't know the horses one, or the mine one. The third is: your name and the fourth is the letter S
Am I right?

Here's one: What makes a bucket lighter the more of it you put in? The bucket could have anything in originally.
Answer: Holes!

Now, I have a riddle:

Needle feet, feather pelt, candle eyes, engine belly. What am I?

The answer is simple, if you look hard enough.

Twenty pounds of money in a bag because the bag adds to the weight, which would otherwise be the same. (You can't fool a physics geek)

Okay so the other day i was brushing my teeth and my toothbrush died, so i switched toothbrushes, but it was still dead, why?

If you think about it this is a very easy one.

Your new toothbrush may be alive or dead, but the old one is still dead...

Alternative answer: You aren't using an electric toothbrush

And to the money one: It depends what kind of money. If it's 20 pounds (as in the weight) of £1000 bills, the money in the bag. If you mean £20 as opposed to 20 pounds of gold, then it's the gold that's worth more.
