Quote of the Day

Postby artymon » Sun 7th Jun 2009

We have tips for the day to offer you advise, no we have quotes to keep ya moving.

Anyway, you just post any random quote that I guess you want to. Maybe it relates to something that happened, funny scenario, vhutever, share us your wisdom (or else, yahahahah!)

Anywho, my favorite quotes. Actually, I have many favorites, but I am /\rtymon, so I must maintain a rank of...um...I dunno...anyway here it is:

Get a Grip.
Face it. Life can be stressful. But not when you have some lightly battered premium white meat chicken by your side. Just grip, dip, and go. Wasn't that easy? Take that, yoga class.

"No more I care to live, when I'm just born to die."
"With every hour, give me the power."
'No more sorrow, no tomorrow."
- Matt Tuck, in the song End of Days

That song has been in my head the entire day. It's so pretty.

I'm not in love with Miley Cyrus!

Reaction to Matt Tuck, who had posted on his Twitter that he was in love with Miley. These guys are hilarious.

If that's what you like doing, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
--- Indiana Jones

Personally, I agree :D
"People are gonna tell you who you are your whole life. You just gotta punch back and say, "No, this is who I am". You want people to look at you differently? Make them! You want to change things, you're gonna have to go out there and change them yourself, because there are no fairy godmothers in this world." - Emma Swan, Once Upon A Time.

And another one, from the book "The Ravenmaster's Secret":

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”

I thought this was a nice quote/tip, I didn't know which thread to put it in.

Winston Churchill wrote:You have enemies? Good, that means that once in your life you stood up for something.

I don't 100% agree with this man, but still, it's a nice quote. And now, from a great book, great quotes:

Goethe's Faust wrote:All that philosophy can teach,
The lore of jurist and of leech,
I've mastered, ah! and sweated through
Theology's dead deserts, too,
Yet here, poor fool! for all my lore,
I stand no wiser than before.

And an even better one, that sums up the most important things in life:

Goethe's Faust wrote:He who grasps the moment's gift, he is a proper man!

As you grow older the quotes from Faust only make more and more sense :P

Writing is when you sit at your typewriter and bleed.

I don't remember anymore who said it, but it's so true...
And here's one from Cleolinda (from The Secret Life of Dolls) which just cracked me up. Yeah, the Edward is Edward Cullen.

And everywhere that Edward went, the lamb was sure to go.

You should read Secret Life, it's awesome :D
