So I have a recital in November. :awesome:

I have to preform "Bring Him Home" from Les Mis and "Popular" from Wicked.

I need more character pieces for an upcoming Autism fundraiser. oAo

I keep seeing people I knew on here when they were 13 talking about being 20 and it floors me every time

We'll all form the FG retirement community someday soon :p

Haha, yeah that would be me, among others. It's so weird to think that we've all been hanging around this site for so many years

It's kind of cool to think that it's still going, beyond all doubt.

How is everyone doing in life so far?

It is! I love that so many people still hang around sometimes, it's a really nice base to come back to :)

I'm doing okay, I'm going a lot slower than most other folks I think, but I'm a few months away from having more college degrees than either of my parents, so that's progress at least :) How's everyone else?

Yeah, it really is nice to see all of you guys from time to time :D

My life is going pretty slowly as well, since I am taking a break from education (best decision ever).
I'm currently living in Japan as an au pair, which is surprisingly relaxing, apart from the fact that I know basically no Japanese and still haven't managed to sign up for classes. :)

Ah, it's amazing here. The family I'm staying with is very nice, even though we occasionally have some minor problems with communicating, as only 2 out of 4 of the family members speak more than very basic Japanese. They all try really hard though. :)
And Japan is just generally so nice, it's really difficult to explain. Although I always feel bad when cashiers ask me something in Japanese and I have to tell them that I have no idea what they're saying.
They only things is that everything is so quiet, like... it's really difficult to explain but even in the house people are exceptionally quiet. Everyone is home at the moment and the person making the most noise is me, typing on my computer.

Glad you're enjoying your time there. I've heard that before, that everything in Japan is very structured and quiet. I remember a documentary about an autistic person who loved it there for that exact reason. It sounds nice, although it probably takes some time to get used to, especially if you're an extroverted person. As an introverted person, it sounds quite nice to me :P I'd love to go overseas for a year too.

It is quite nice, but it's also really weird sometimes. Thing is, I tend to get really loud, especially when I'm doing things around the house, but since everyone else is so quiet, it seems kind of... wrong? Idk, it's hard to explain.
If you get the chance to go abroad, then you should totally do it. I don't know if you remember this, but I went to study in the USA a couple of years ago, and it was great, so I totally recommend it. :D
